David Metzler
Born and raised in Littleton, Colorado David grew up in a world surrounded by Athletics. At age 6, he started playing Soccer and never stopped. By the end of High School, David had to decide between playing Division I Soccer on a college athletic scholarship or training for the Olympics to compete in Tae Kwon Do. Education took precedence and David ended up attending the University of New Mexico on a Soccer Scholarship. David started and played all four years at UNM and achieved Captain and MVP in his Senior graduating year. David went on to play Professional Soccer for the New Mexico Chiles in 1992.
David graduated with Honors from UNM’s Anderson Schools of Management with a Bachelors Degree in Finance. He then moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1993 and continued his education by completing a Masters Degree in eCommerce at the University of Phoenix.
David maintained a very successful career as a Commercial Relationship Manager and Underwriter in the Commercial Banking Industry in Phoenix, AZ until August of 2008. Being invested in the Banking Industry for over 14 years David has become well versed in cultivating dynamic Professional relationships with local businesses across a variety of different industries, including a large amount of community involvement with charitable organizations. In August of 2008, David started a small eCommerce business that has proven to be successful and warrants further expansion. The combination of Professional experience in the Banking Industry, along with his extensive skills related to eCommerce, have provided the foundation for the establishment of Chip In To Cure Corporation in August 2009, along with his Co-Founders Joe and Teresa Bacal.
David has a personal and direct vested interest in the growth and success of Chip In To Cure Corporation. It has provided him a channel to give back to the community in ways that can indirectly touch the lives of cancer patients and their families.
Along with his Cancer surviving co-founder, Joe Bacal, David has overcome his own critical health issues that had him hospitalized in 2007 fighting for his life, and he now struggles with latent stage Cancer patients in his immediate family. David is determined to make an impact in the community, and provide hope in the lives of those that are suffering or in need of assistance. David feels that CITC can provide additional support to those companies involved in Cancer Research and Recovery, along with other charitable organizations, and he feels that this can and will be attained through Chip In To Cure, one person–one life at a time.
